C. Renius, 138 BC. Denarius (Silver, 16 mm, 3.81 g, 12 h), Rome. Head of Roma to right, wearing winged helmet; behind, X (mark of value). Rev. C•RENI / ROMA Juno driving biga of goats to right, holding scepter and reins in her right hand and whip in her left. Babelon (Renia) 1. Crawford 231/1. RBW 961. Sydenham 432. Beautiful iridescent toning. Struck on a slightly short flan and with a few minor flan faults on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
